The Avalonian Free State Choir

The Avalonian Free State Choir is an acapella choir with a repertoire of songs from all around the world, including salsa vocal percussion, sacred songs from Georgia and melodies from Bulgaria. The choir was originally founded in 1992 by Tim Hall to sing traditional and contemporary English folk songs and carols. By 2004, Sue Palmer had widened both their repertoire and the range of venues at which they sing. In 2012, they were the winners of the Choir Sing-Off at Charles Hazlewood’s Orchestra in a Field.
